[McLean, VA] — President and Chief Executive Officer of PBG Consulting, Pawla Ghaleb, has been named the winner of a bronze Stevie® award in the Female Executive of the Year in the 19th annual Stevie® Awards for women in business. 

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. 

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners last night during a gala event attended by nominees and their guests at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The event was broadcast via Livestream. 

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  PBG Consulting, represented by Pawla Ghaleb, won in the Female Executive of the Year category for business services: 11 to 2,500 employees.  

Pawla established PBG in 2010 and spent the next decade laying the groundwork for PBG’s success. This is a significant achievement for Pawla who, as a woman and an immigrant, took on the challenges of a male-dominated IT contracting world with the aim to serve government missions and foster a “work home” for diverse personnel where their unique voices and talents are valued.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on eight juries.
