PBG Consulting, a leading women-owned government consultancy, has been awarded a contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) worth more than $10 million to deliver critical IT design and infrastructure to the Presidential Transition Team IT Program (PTT IT) in support of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

The peaceful and orderly transfer of power is a hallmark of our democracy, and since 1963, GSA has held a prominent role in the transition of authority between the incoming and outgoing Administrations in accordance with the Presidential Transition Act. As technology needs and security grow ever more complex, modern IT design and cybersecurity are critical to serve both pre-elect and post-elect phases of a U.S. Presidential Election. In support of this effort, PBG will provide infrastructure design, implementation, unified communications, cloud service integration, service desk services, and more to ensure a smooth transition between election phases.

“We are absolutely honored to be GSA’s IT partner on this most critical work,” said Pawla Ghaleb, President and Chief Executive Officer of PBG Consulting. “PBG has always been a mission-first firm, and I can’t think of a mission more emblematic of the U.S. Government and what it stands for than this one.”

Vanessa Soon, PBG’s Chief Technical Officer, added: “The PTT IT Team on the government side is helmed by strong and passionate leadership with a clear vision of a seamless, collaborative, and impenetrable IT environment for our presidential candidates and their teams. PBG will design and implement every technology component with that vision in mind.”

PBG’s work will begin as soon as possible, as preparations begin long before election season and accelerate rapidly when party candidates are confirmed.

About GSA PTT

Led by the General Service Administration (GSA), the Presidential Transition Team (PTT) begins its work long before the parties’ conventions. In fact, the GSA provides, upon request, integral support to each eligible presidential and vice-presidential candidate. This support offers services and facilities to prepare candidates to assume official duties: office space, IT equipment, supplies. By the summer of an election year, the program team is fully operational and supporting the candidates. Should there be a forthcoming change in administration, GSA’s PTT supports the President-elect and Vice-President Elect with critical technology, equipment, and logistics support to effectively transition into the Office of the President; operationalizes the inter-agency transition; and supports the outgoing President and Vice-President, including coordinating with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and supporting the establishment of Presidential libraries
