We have an immediate need for a Technical Manager. The Technical Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of on premise and cloud solutions to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets.
This position will be 100% at the client’s site in Springfield, VA.
Responsible for planning new product/service roll out or enhancement of existing offerings, operations and maintenance in Managed Hosting, Data Centre, Managed Security Services, Infrastructure Managed Services in consultation with the Products and Engineering teams with the objective of delivering effective solutions to meet customer requirements; minimizing cost of service operations by driving efficiency, scalability, quality and consistency, smooth implementation and minimum downtime of infrastructure.
Provides leadership, direction and guidance; creates and maintains a productive work environment and ensures staff have the appropriate skills and tools for optimal performance.
Manages technology projects including cloud implementation/migrations and DevSecOps
Collaborates with all the teams to ensure the timely deployments across the different environments.
Drives technical deployment planning and implementation including installation of operating system, provisioning, network configuration etc. and monitor implementation success.
Meets customer requirements, feasibility and operational aspects of proposed solutions and service schedules with and analyzes internal technical capability to deliver solutions.
Develops solution frameworks, methodology and solutioning to drive standardization of repeat solutioning to ensure reduction in operational cost.
Prepares plan for integration with existing platforms and processes, identifies technology partners and outsourced partners for implementation and roll out of product/service, defines service realization and SOPs for Service Delivery and resolves escalated issues.
Supports the virtualization, monitoring, patching, data backup, and disaster recovery of critical systems.
Designs and implements short and long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for all infrastructure operations.
Conducts research and make recommendations
Tests infrastructure performance and provides performance statistics and reports; develops strategies for maintaining infrastructure for on-prem and cloud implementations.
Works closely with Dept managers to ensure that infrastructure plans are consistent with the department protocols, policies and goals.
Participates in audit meetings and highlights risks to management.
Maintains Infrastructure equipment and license inventory and manages hardware lifecycles.
B.S. in Systems Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or IT related field
8-12 years of experience with networking and system related activities.
5+years of experience with cloud implementations and DevOps pipelines.
5+ years of experience leading project management teams; strong people management skills required.
Experience with Windows 2016*, Active Directory*, SQL Server 2017, VMware 6.5*, IOS-XE (Cisco ASAs), IOS (Cisco Catalyst), Dell Rack Servers, Dell Direct Attached Storage, PulseSecure VPN devices, BlueCoat ProxySG, Cisco Firepower.
Experience in Cloud technology such as Azure as well as DevOps tools such as Cloud, Jenkins, Artifactory, Github.
Knowledge in NIST800-53, NIST800-88, VITA ITRM SEC525-002, SEC501, Security Control Models, SOC 2 TYPE 2/ISO27001/PCI.
