PBG Awarded $4.3M Contract with U.S. Department of State for Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Implementation and Operations
[McLean, VA] — PBG Consulting, a leading women-owned small business, has been awarded a two-year contract worth more than $4 million by the Office of Facilities Management (FMS) within the U.S. Department of State (DOS). FMS manages Department of State’s domestic real property portfolio of 11 million+ Gross Square Feet across more than 150 domestic locations—and nearly 400 locations globally—making the Office responsible for critical infrastructure that supports our nation’s diplomatic efforts. As such, FMS aims to be an exemplar of asset management across the federal government, establishing first- and best-in-class asset strategy and implementation.
In support of FMS’ domestic portfolio, PBG will utilize its niche expertise in cloud-based asset management services to evaluate, strategize, streamline, and maintain Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) operations via IBM’s Maximo enterprise software. Work efforts will focus on systems evaluation, development, integration, documentation, and configuration management; IT modernization, strategy, and operations; and user support and training to ensure delivery excellence and adoption.
“PBG is excited to collaborate with DOS to fulfill its vision of streamlined facility management and operations, migration to a cloud-based platform, and establishing a first-in-class CMMS that conforms to commercial industry and government standards,” said Pawla Ghaleb, President and Chief Executive Officer of PBG Consulting. “The Office of Facilities Management is a crucial component to international diplomacy efforts, and PBG’s mission-centric delivery model will rise to the challenge of innovation within a complex and diverse property portfolio.”
This work broadens PBG’s long-serving partnership with Department of State; PBG was named the Agency’s Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for 2021.
