We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support the planning, implementation, production, and delivery of a budget formulation schedule. Analyze the preparation and dissemination of programmatic guidance, advice, and all necessary templates to ensure budget justification materials are accurate and complete.

This position requires a Secret clearance.

Location is 80% at PBG and 20% at the Client’s site in DC.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing manageable budget milestones that align with agency goals.

  • Assist in budget formulation and execution, with analysts supporting division portfolio budgets.

  • Aid in package review, approval, and communication through the enterprise Purchase Request (PR) Procurement tracking and approval process.

  • Provide support for developing status of funds and briefing charts.

  • Assist in preparing required annual Unliquidated Obligation (ULO) reconciliation requirements.

  • Assist in creating, processing, and following through on financial documentation for knowledge management and auditing authorities.

  • Assist in the creation of financial PowerPoint presentations and excel templates.

  • Perform various financial analyses, such as reconciliations and variance analysis, project controller work.

  • Review and report financial performance of contracts to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and appropriateness of revenue recognition.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures, Federal regulations and guidelines and contractual requirements.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or other related field.

  • 5+ years of related program/budget analysis experience including in part such functions as budget formulation, financial reporting, cost and budget analysis, preparing work authorizations, and work packages.

  • Expertise with federal government financial systems, i.e., Data Warehouse, Business Objects.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel including expertise with pivot tables (using and building).


Preferred Skills/Experience: 

  • Experience in tracking budget and activities for a product/project portfolio.

  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

  • Proven experience in communications planning and execution
