PBG is looking for an Acquisition Specialist to join our team, supporting a customer in Portsmouth, VA. This position requires a working understanding of acquisitions for Contract Management with an application to assist with strategic planning, ability to develop and submit final written reports. Work will be in conformance with all Government regulations and policies including the business management in the areas of contracting and acquisition support


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and cost-effective acquisition support services for the requirements described below:

    • Market Research, including the Market Research Report

    • Request for Information

    • Acquisition Planning Forecast System (APFS)

    • Procurement Request (PR)

    • Statement of Work (SOW)

    • Performance Work Statement (PWS)

    • Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP)

    • Contract Specifications

    • Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)

    • Streamlined and Formal Acquisition Plan (AP)

    • HSAM Appendix G, Checklist for Sensitive Information

    • Information Technology Acquisition Review (ITAR)

    • Contract Information Assurance Reviews

    • Contract Security Reviews

    • Section 508 Requirements/Documentation

    • Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE)

    • Source Selection /Evaluation Criteria

    • Justifications for Other than Full and Open Competition

    • Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) Nomination Letter

    • Balanced Workforce Assessment

    • Inherently Governmental Memorandum

    • Inter-Agency Agreement (IAA)

    • Documentation for a Modification Request /Option Exercise

    • Expenditure Plan and Logs as it relates to providing acquisition support


Required Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.

  • Certified in National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM).

  • Ability to read, interpret FAR policy, regulations and directives.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in conducting comprehensive acquisition support activities as described

  • Experience with the MS Office Suite of tools.
